The stench of death hangs heavy in the air and every surface is awash with blood. Jagged shards of bone and unrecognisable pieces of muscle and tissue lie scattered across the floor, while glistening entrails are suspended from the ceiling like slippery, stinking ropes – vomit inducing decorations in a house of madness. It shuffles through the gore and offal, breathing heavily from the exertion of reducing so many sweating, screaming human animals to this lifeless mess. And it is one of many.
