San Diego, California hard rock / metal band SEVENTRAIN have released a lyric video for the song “One More Reason” from their new 2023 self titled EP “Seventrain” which was released independently on March 1, 2023.

Seventrain guitarist Eric Horton comments:

One More Reason is about someone’s tolerance being pushed way beyond their limits, being taken advantage of, bullied, abused physically and or mentally. The chorus there’s one final warning letting the abuser know if their behavior doesn’t stop immediately, they will be gravely sorry for their actions. Not about revenge, but more like payback, teaching them a painful lesson to respect people. Standing up for yourself. Showing that you won’t be messed with…

Biography:

Seventrain is a hard rock / metal band hailing from San Diego California, featuring a former member of Cage. Seventrain has the rhythm section of a modern / contemporary metal blended with the old school guitar section reminiscent of the iconic metal bands. Top that off with the powerful soulful yet edgy vocal of Eric Koonze and you have a musical combination that is modern yet deeply rooted in all things that make hard rock and metal great.

Conceived in the fall of 2012, Seventrain first performed together at a memorial show for a local musician and friend. Based out of Southern California, each of the individual band members roots run deep with the hard rock/metal community. Seventrain featured guitarist and founder Eric Horton (Cage), vocalist Jon Campos (Jon Campos & the Incurables) and bassist Dino Andino (Tourniquet).

The “Seventrain” self-titled debut album was independently self-released worldwide in 2014. The album charted on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 at #36 in its first week to radio on February 25th, 2014 and received high praise reviews by critics worldwide. In addition, Seventrain was nominated for Best Hard Rock Album of the Year at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards.

Since the album’s release, Seventrain has headlined numerous regional venues as well as having the honor of being asked to perform with the likes of Pat Travers, Michael Schenker, Skid Row, Black Star Riders, Saving Abel, Red Dragon Cartel, Saliva, Geoff Tate, Puddle of Mudd, Lynch Mob, Ratt and others.

In 2019, Seventrain released their second album, “Back on Track”, with the very talented singer Erik Koonze. Unfortunately, life got in the way of numerous band members who had to depart.

At this time, we were very fortunate to find a phenomenal guitarist, Dave Odegaard (solo artist/composer for music in TV shows, movies, and video games), for coming in and handling the other half of the guitar duties.

In 2022, key Seventrain band members: Eric Koonze, Dave Odegaard, Eric Horton, Greg Rupp and Calvin Lakin, are now securely in place.
